FIRST and foremost I would like to say that my whole life I have been plagued with a sensitive scalp. I never enjoyed having my hair in many sections because this often meant more exposure to sunlight, which BURNED!!
SECONDLY if having a vampire scalp wasn't enough I cannot STAND updos. Now you're wondering why I did an updo post, well that's because I can. CONFESSION: I took it out the same day...
My THIRD scalp issue is dryness/oiliness. My scalp is either too dry or too oily. For a long time it seemed I could never win when it came to my scalp, but recently I found a solution!
Now this solution doesn't technically cure my sensitive scalp, but it does help tremendously with the dryness/oiliness. You must be wondering, so what's the solution?!
OIL BLEND!! HURRAH! SHAZAAM! ...wait what? You didn't know oils were good for the scalp? Well...yeah I kinda did but for some reason I never tried...Long story short, I've figured it out and now I'm going to share it with you :)
Recipe for oil blend:
Ingredients: Castor oil, Tea Tree oil
Method: Combine 10 parts Castor oil to 1 part Tea Tree oil.
That's it...lol!
Just because I'm a nerd, I'm going to share the benefits with you. :)
Castor Oil - stimulates hair growth, reduces shedding, combats hair loss, helps with dry itchy scalp, provides hair thickness, the list goes on...
Tea Tree oil - anti-fungal, simulates hair growth, reduces dandruff, prevents hair loss just to name a few!
I usually lightly oil my scalp every four days, this seems to work best for me. I hope you try this oil blend! HAPPY READING! :)

My Introduction
Hello World,
Peace and Love and all that good hair stuff.
My name is Shafel. I am currently 6 months natural big chopped April 21st 2013, (still in TWA stage). I am 18 years old and if you couldn't tell I live in the Caribbean. I'm a pretty boring person but I hope I can make this entertaining.
I've decided to start my own hair blog. My aim is not to be popular or trendy. I just want to have this blog as a record for my natural hair journey. I also hope to interact with others and to share.
Peace and Love and all that good hair stuff.
